The Manuscript

Here is the Moravian College Manuscript 2011 edition. I was the lead designer for this edition and was able to complete the design for most of the book in 2 days. I designed the entire book, outside and inside. For the cover design, I used ink splatters to represent the ink used by writers and paint used by artists, since the book showcases the writing and artwork of students and faculty at the college.
I worked with Rob-Win Press. It was my first time going to press, and the people there made it a wonderful experience. I am really happy with how the book turned out.

earth matters

For my internship at the HUB, I designed the logo for 'earth matters'.

Several weeks after the logo was designed, I was asked to also design a t-shirt...in 3 days. Because the t-shirt was so last minute, there were several last minute changes that my teacher had to make before it could go to the printer. As a result, the logo was printed slightly incorrectly. The logo on the back was created by another student several years ago.

I love Typography a lot

Here are three typography based designs that I really like:

I really like the incorporation of the phrase 'a lot' in white mixed inside of 'I love Typography'. It is a very clean simple design using only three colors (well technically 1 color).

I like this design of the hand because they used words that relate to the hand or what we use our hand for to build its shape. I have designed two posters, 'against animal violence- cat & dog', and a t-shirt for the Lehigh Valley Health Network Marathon using text to create the shape.

I found this design, which is similar to the one of the hand. I like how the word 'and' is used over and over to create the ampersand.

Fun with Words

I found this image and decided to add it to my ever growing folder of inspirational design. I love how the word 'milk' is substituted for an actual carton.

Milton Glaser Poster

I like this poster that Milton Glaser created for the Philadelphia Orchestra. I like how he created the P from a f-hole and a abstract design music score.

I had a similar design challenge recently when I had to create a logo for the Pennsylvania Jazz Collective. I realized that the P and the J could be found in the treble clef, so I created a stylize treble clef as the logo....I am currently still working on drafts of the logo for the client, but here is part of it.

Lord of the Rings Posters

I found these three posters for each of the Lord of the Ring Movies designed by Gustavo. He used a significant element from each movie along with the font to create these simple poster designs. I also like simple, clean designs and type, so I was immediately attracted to the simplicity and concept of these posters.
